Salary Range : $77,578 - $83,500 per annum

Our Branch

The Lord Mayor's Administration and Engagement branch provides executive, administrative and clerical support services necessary to support the Lord Mayor and the Councillors of the Brisbane City Council in their role as elected representatives of the City of Brisbane.

As Personal Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Manager, Lord Mayor Administration and Engagement and other key stakeholders including the Lord Mayors Office, the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust and its Board of Directors. The role has a strong focus on proactive administrative business support expertise and advice.

This is a busy and challenging role for a confident, professional who is an extremely organised person, to join a close knit and high performing team. The role is diverse in nature and coordinates and executes a wide range of tasks. From supporting speech writing and research, to assisting with co-ordinating award winning fashion shows, to diary management and administrative duties for the Secretariat of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust.

Key responsibilities include:

  • complex diary management
  • handling sensitive and confidential information
  • preparing and coordinating correspondence and documentation
  • providing a proactive high standard of administrative support to the branch and Lord Mayors Office.

To be successful you will have:

  • experience in managing multiple complex diaries with limited supervision
  • the ability to think on your feet
  • a high level of personal integrity ensuring a positive contribution to the team and branch culture
  • experience in an executive support or personal assistant role
  • able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • experience in working with senior and executive level stakeholders
  • strong attention to detail.
